Our story

Darcy and I met through a science program called TKS (The Knowledge Society). We had become besties through the infamous Bred Group™️.

For us, Liporice is not just a product; it's a deeply personal mission. Our journey began not in a laboratory, but from our own personal experiences. Both of us, Darcy and I, have been diagnosed with anemia, a condition where the body lacks enough healthy red blood cells to carry adequate oxygen to the body's tissues.

Feeling the effects of this condition firsthand made us acutely aware of the challenges faced by anemics, igniting a passion in Darcy to make a difference. It became an issue that consumed us, a problem we knew we had to solve. But how could we combat a global health issue that seemed so vast and complex?

Together, we embarked on a journey of learning, studying, and extensive research. We explored the scientific intricacies of anemia and investigated various forms of treatment. Our search led us to liposomal iron, a type of iron supplement that offered superior benefits compared to conventional iron supplements.

Then came the 'eureka' moment: What if we could incorporate this iron supplement into a food staple, making it easily accessible and affordable for everyone? In South East Asia, rice is a dietary cornerstone. It was the perfect vehicle for our mission.

That's how Liporice was born. It's a special kind of fortified rice, enhanced with liposomal iron. By encapsulating iron inside liposomes, tiny biocompatible nanoparticles, we protect the iron from degradation and unwanted chemical reactions.
